My Z is running fabulous and has great compression. It has all new parts with the fresh motor build but the black soot on the backend just sucketh.. I changed over to 740cc injectors with no cats and straight 3" exhaust. I am wondering and assuming that all you guys with high hp, no cats or precats and big injectors are having the "soot issue?" I talked to Greg at Specialty and it seems to be common amongst our cars and even the GTR is much worse from what I understand but I am wondering if it is causing any issues for you guys with similar setups internally like carbon buildup, plug fouling issues, etc? Again, the car is running great but the soot is a pita!! I know putting the cats back on would help but wondering any other tricks and/or problems that come along with running rich like this..I believe the carbon buildup internally ends up creating more compression which could not be good also....Any info would be appreciated. Thanks..
